Casiday's Room ...

I can't believe how much her room is beginning to look like a teenager's room.
Makes my heart hurt ... but I also am so very proud of the young lady she is becoming.
We are blessed to have such an amazing person in our lives!!

January 27

My daily location ... to pick up the girl.  However, I cannot believe she only has a year and a half left of elementary school.  Where has the time gone?  And what in the world will we do with a Middle Schooler? Scary, scary thoughts!!

FRIDAY!  And Scott & I spent the day together in Jacksonville.  Made a quick hospital visit and then a few hours shopping after lunch at Panera - yum!!

I must say this ...
After almost 14 years of marriage, I absolutely love this man more today than ever.

On Thursdays I volunteer at Care Net ... I love it!  And one of the reasons why is the people who are on staff and the other volunteers I get to work with wile I'm there.

And, if you are interested in more about my volunteering at Care Net, read this guest post I wrote for my friend Brooke at her blog, A Life in Need of Change.  It's called "Remembrance."

It's true ... we all have recliners & laptops ...

January 16

We have been praying for those affected by the tragic earthquake in Haiti.  And while we are unable to go there and help with relief efforts in that country, we are thankful for the countless men and women who are able to go ... they are true heroes!

But we have some heroes of our own ... police officers, soldiers and fire fighters, just to name a few.  So, today, Casiday & I made some brownies and took them to the fire station near our house where a wonderful young man from our church, Joey Sannutti, is working this weekend.

It's not much but we hope it helped a few guys know that on this rainy Saturday in January, they are appreciated!

Got up at 5:15 and was sitting on my couch with this view when the sun began rising around 6:30.
Gorgeous!
{And a bonus peek of the project Scott has to finish before he leaves for the weekend.  Any guesses what that might be?}

It happened and I wanted proof!!

Cannot wait to share this DIY project ... hopefully in a couple of weeks!!

On the way to dance ... and taking my broken heart with her.
Didn't I just tuck THIS child into bed last night?
