Christmas in July at Chez Underwood!
Our Yummy Dinner
Chicken & dressing, Turkey, Sweet Potato Casserole, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, English Peas
{And no picture … but we had Pumpkin Pie, and Red Velvet Cupcakes with Buttercream Frosting, Peppermint Bark for dessert!}
Isn’t she beautiful?? She made the cornbread and did the biscuits for the dressing. Such a sweet homemaker-to-be.
Of course, the Christmas Eve candle!
And, because this is too sweet a picture not to add, here is Casiday holding Preslee Joy at church this morning. Remember when we kept Landyn while her momma had a baby? Well, this is the sweet baby!!

These are the "real" pictures for today ... the post about my new office was a bonus since I wasn't sure where else I should put those pictures.
Today, Judy and Shiloh were here and we made Strawberry Pudding for Scott. It was Shiloh's first time to make meringue and I think she did an amazing job. What say you?

Today’s picture is entirely an effort to win a free Gooseberry Patch cookbook! In case anyone doesn’t know, I absolutely love Gooseberry Patch … and their cookbooks are incredible!
So, tonight I made the Broccoli Parmesan from the Family Favorites cookbook. It was delicious!!
Here’s the picture of me (clearly with no makeup!), the cookbook, and the yummy food!
{And you can see the ever adorable Casiday Hope in the background with her big cheesy smile and that towel on her head!! Too funny.}

Scott preparing for the Big Chili Cookoff at BIBC!
His entry was “Scott’s Sweet Chili” … it had cocoa and brown sugar in it!! He got 2nd place at the competition Sunday in the “Most Exotic” category.

We have been praying for those affected by the tragic earthquake in Haiti. And while we are unable to go there and help with relief efforts in that country, we are thankful for the countless men and women who are able to go ... they are true heroes!
But we have some heroes of our own ... police officers, soldiers and fire fighters, just to name a few. So, today, Casiday & I made some brownies and took them to the fire station near our house where a wonderful young man from our church, Joey Sannutti, is working this weekend.
It's not much but we hope it helped a few guys know that on this rainy Saturday in January, they are appreciated!
