It’s VBS time!!   Tonight I was the one who taught the lesson … so, here I am in my costume (with a 2010 twist!).

Like the Converse shoes – which matched by the way!  And how about my sunglasses/headband??

June 7

The girl left for children's camp today.  She was very excited.

And they're off ...

She called Monday afternoon to tell us they'd arrived.

Children's Choir Musical at Blythe Island Baptist Church.

And Casiday's first vocal solo!!  Here's the video of that!

We are very proud of her!!  She did a great job!!

April 17 ... people

We went on a trip to St. Augustine with the senior adults.

The last picture was taken after we walked the "six blocks" back to the start of the trolley tour.  It was more like 2 miles.  Thankfully, Casiday was a trooper!!  Though clearly she was exhausted.  (As were her Mommy and Daddy!)

April 3 - part 1 ... at the church

Easter Egg Hunt!!

Sharing the Resurrection story using resurrection eggs.  BIBC gives a set of these eggs to each family who attends our Easter services.  I love that!!

Grace has a fascination with high heels ... so, I immediately lost mine to her.

We agreed to a shoe swap ...

And the festivities ended with the cake auction ... Sid was the auctioneer this year.  I am not sure I have ever laughed so hard in my life.

Our Good Friday service was a Tenebrae.  Info on the tenebrae service from Wikipedia:
Tenebrae (Latin for 'shadows' or 'darkness') is a Christian religious service celebrated by the Western Church on the evening before or early morning of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, which are the last three days of Holy Week. The distinctive ceremony of Tenebrae is the gradual extinguishing of candles while a series of readings and psalms are chanted or recited.
The worship band was all acoustic and used old hymns at the end of each Scripture reading.  We ended the service with an opportunity for confession and communion.  It was a very meaningful experience for all of us.

Band practice for Good Friday service ... they sure do enjoy Scott's "man cave."

Parent - Child Fun Night at BIBC ...

Daddy shaving a balloon.

Somehow the shaving cream ended up on everyone ... wonder how that happened?

Mommy & Mrs. Erin in an eating contest.

If anyone wants to know, pickles in cool whip is NASTY!  And smells like vomit.

Neither of us won our game ... poor Casiday.

Mama & Papa are here!!!!

And, after my cooking FAIL yesterday (did everyone catch the "bonus picture"?),  I thought I'd redeem myself by showing what my "Totally Type A Closet" looks like!! LOL
