Tip:  Hearts look good in any outfit, even ugly things. It looks cute, but don’t wear it in public (the ugly thing!) ~ CHU

Working in the archaeology lab … classifying, weighing, and marking artifacts from Ft. Frederica.

March 1 (part two)

Archaeological Dig at Ft. Frederica.

This was an incredible experience.   Our school district is the only one in the nation with this partnership program with the National Park Services.  The students participate in an actual dig and then spend the following day in the lab categorizing and classifying the artifacts.  (Pics of that tomorrow!)

And a montage of Casiday and Daddy …

February 9

Casiday’s class had a field trip to Ft. Frederica.  Each year the 4th graders at Satilla Marsh participate in a archaeological dig with the National Park Services at the Fort.  Today was the first of three trips we’ll make to Ft. Frederica for this project.
We toured the grounds and had a great time!  We are both looking forward to the dig and the lab day in March.
