I suppose it is sort of a perk, Stephanie. This one is, we think, original to the church - so over 50 years old. It was moved to a classroom when they renovated the sanctuary in the early 90s. When we purchased the big, comfy chairs for our new worship center, we got enough to use in all the adult classrooms so ... this pew was put in storage a few years ago. And finally relocated to my house. :)
I have always wanted one, too. I think I'm getting something that will meet that requirement for me, though. I'm supposed to get the pulpit chair from Eldon that Bobo designed. We hoped to get it when we were home in May, but it wasn't where we could get it. We may make a flying trip back at the end of the summer or early fall to get it. I have a kneeling stool from the original building here at Trinity.
Is that a job perk? I've wanted a church pew for sooo long. I'm excited for you and can't wait to see what cute things you do with and around it.
